My Escape

leaves fall scattered and down the rabbit hole we go with our hopes and dreams floating above us getting further away as we get deeper into the black void of our soul the voices call out hauntingly beautiful in this pit that we have dug only filled with the deapest of fears just pulling us delving deeper into the emotions that cause us to cloud our judgement suffocating in a sea of lies and pain  slowly killing us with past memories that seem to just play over & over again till we fall to pieces falling, breaking, crumbling. So this is the latest 'poem' that I wrote while I was waiting for exams to end.. hope you like it..

Under the harsh glare of the sun everything begins  to crumble and fall  as the water slowly  begins to disappear  signaling the beginning  of a drought  Eyes search the sky  hoping for  a sign  of the rain  that has yet to come  to end of the drought  that has befallen  the people Suddenly a miraculous drop  of water falls from the sky  the clouds turn gray and the steady familiar sound  of raindrops are heard  A steady beat forms  pitter patter  pitter patter as the people rejoiced By: Nur Atikah Yusri :) bye people

Her eyes pierce through the veil of lies a mask plastered on her face a facade of lies a deceiving smil but her eyes say otherwise Her pain hid so well behind a mask of lies A dam overflowing with secrets so overwhelming just waiting to be broken and secrets let out Now she walks among us pretending with a smile but her eyes pleading for help just waiting

She runs fleeing from the past searching for the truth fighting for her freedom ________________________________________ Words leap off the page soaring flowing forming a new world that surronds her _________________________________________ She recoils the screams and shouts surround her and the darkness engulfs her sight total shutdown __________________________________________ The barricade crumbles and fractures a smile creeps on the once vacant expression her face lights up with a glint of hope and the once frozen heart pulses with warmth ____________________________________________ Fighting back feelings of sadnesss and abandoment she retreats into the shell of what was once her former self
